The Motivating Women Luncheon is an annual gathering of women from across the Gainesville–Hall County community who are committed to growing—personally, professionally, and as leaders in their homes, workplaces, and beyond. This year’s theme, “Your Voice Matters,” reflects a simple but powerful truth: when women feel confident to speak up and are given the space to be heard, meaningful change happens.

This year’s event will feature an inspiring fireside chat with special guests Monica Kaufman Pearson and Joni Alpert. Monica Pearson made history as the first woman and first minority to anchor the daily evening news in Atlanta, serving for 37 years at the leading station, WSB-TV. Joining her is Joni Alpert, co-host of The Martha Zoller Show and a longtime member of the Clark Howard Show team.

The conversation will be facilitated by Martha Zoller, a respected radio talk host and political analyst known for her insight, energy, and deep connection to our community. Martha lives in Gainesville with her husband and is a proud mother of four and grandmother of six. Her personal motto—“You can have it all, just not at the same time…”—captures the spirit of the discussion perfectly.

Many women hesitate to use their voices—whether advocating for themselves, stepping into leadership, or trusting that their experiences matter. The Motivating Women Luncheon is a meaningful reminder that every woman’s voice has value, influence, and the power to shape her life, her career, and her community.
